How We Started
17 Oct 2007
Est 1995 by players of Leeds Red Triangle Side "Sporting LDS" As they were travelling to East Leeds to train & play football.
Daniel Rogers approached the Beulah on Tong Road to see if they would welcome a team.
A meeting with the landlord and the following players took place which would start the team you now know as Grangefield.

With the help of the landlord they applied to the Red Triangle League and were succesful although this ment quitting the Sporting LDS midway through a season (as a team had dropped out)
Everyone except Dan Rogers went for the idea to leave but credit to him he stayed for the duration of the season,
Now we had to find and a kit & nets and more players word got round and players brought friends along,our landlord found us a kit "Yellow Shirts Blue socks & shorts" & most of all some nets. The 1st game got canceled at the last minuet so most player went to watch LDS and try and get a game.
The 1st season was very hard but we managed to beat the top team 3-0 with 3 shots to their 200. That day the goalie was Andrew Stephenson who went on to be the most succesful manager of Grangefield history.
The Next stage
17 Oct 2007
We stayed in the red Triangle for 4 1/2 seasons before we moved to the YOBL. This came about after we left the Beuhler due to falling out of favour with the new landlady. Some of the new players were from Pudsey so we went to the Brittania where we were welcomed once again.
At this time we tried to source local training facilities at Grangefield High school upon this they said their pitch had become available and did we want it.
We jumped at the chance to move away from the council pitch's of Wortley Rec.
At this time we the club would try and move to a different league we aproachesd the Yorkshire Old Boys League (YOBL) and after attending their AGM were accepted by member clubs.
